“Jiaozi” is one of our favorite traditional Chinese dishes. We have added Truffle Oil to the recipe to make it even better.
Ingredients
FRESH FROM THE STORE
- 1/2 pound Ground Pork
- 1/2 Leek
- 2 cups Chicken Broth
- 1/4 cup Ginger
- 4 small Carrots
- 1 Egg

FROM YOUR PANTRY
- 1 tbsp Dark Soy Sauce
- 4 tbsp Tamari Sauce
- 40 Dumpling Wrappers
- 1/4 cup Sesame Oil
- 5 tbsp Truffle Oil
Instructions

Step 1
Cut vegetables into very small cubes. Then mix ground pork, leeks, ginger, tamari sauce, egg, sesame oil, carrots, 4 tablespoons of the chicken broth and truffle oil in a bowl.

Step 2
Fill a small bowl with water. Place dumpling wrapper in one hand. With your other hand, moisten the edges of it with water. Place about 1 teaspoon of the filling in the center of the wrapper. Fold wrapper in half to get a triangular shape. Then seal it. Repeat until the ground-pork-mix is finished.

Step 3
Heat up the remaining chicken broth in a wok or pan. Place wrappers, add cover and let simmer at medium heat for 10 minutes.

Step 4
Heat up sesame oil in a pan. Place steamed dumplings and fry for a few minutes on each side on high heat until they turn crispy. (optional)

Step 5
Serve with tamari sauce or vinegar. Sprinkle fresh chives on top if desired.
