Harissa Chicken Tagine

This delicious dish is inspired by Moroccan cuisine. Our Harissa Spice mix brings out a unique taste to the fresh ingredients. Sprinkle fresh mint leaves on top when you serve the dish and you will be overwhelmed by an amazing flavor experience.

Ingredients

FRESH FROM THE STORE

  • 2 Chicken Breasts
  • 1 cup Couscous
  • 1/2 cup Tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup Chickpeas
  • 2 cups Chicken Stock
  • 1/4 cup Onion
  • 1 bunch fresh Mint leaves to garnish

FROM YOUR PANTRY

  • 3 tbsp Harissa Spice Mix
  • 5 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • HARISSA SPICE MIX INCLUDES:
  • Guajillo Flakes, Cumin, Coriander, Hungarian Paprika, Garlic, Salt, Caraway, Cinnamon

Instructions

Step 1

Cut chicken breasts into small cubes. Add 3 to 5 tbsp of Harissa to it and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Step 2

Heat up oil in a pan. When it’s hot, ddd diced onion and sautée for 2 minutes at medium heat.

Step 3

Add chicken, tomato, chickpeas, onion and chicken stock to onion and sautée ingredients for 5 minutes at high heat.

Step 4

Turn heat down to low, cover pan and let chicken-vegetables mix simmer for 30 minutes. Stir ingredients every few minutes.

Step 5

Heat up 1 1/2 cups of water in a pot. When boiling, add couscous. Turn down heat, cover with a lid and let sit for 10 minutes.
